Tynemouth Street
Fulham, London
In 2017, we were asked by Harris and Eleonore to look at their two bedroom first floor flat they had recently bought in Fulham. They needed a third bedroom and wanted to convert an attic above that was owned by the council. Harris had done his research on similar jobs and found pages of estate agent website images that were compromised, a bit flash, and not quite right. Through complex negotiations with the council, a long modelling and drawing process, and a detailed tender, we developed a design that broke away from their old narrow corridors with a quality of light and textures reminiscent of home in Greece. Work finished in 2019.
