The Office on St Andrew’s Lane was designed by Will's grandfather John Schwerdt as a quick to build and low cost building a short walk from the bar of the White Hart Hotel. A grid of columns lift the floor 2.5 metres from the ground to allow parking below and to avoid tricky topography. This is a relatively radical and exciting building for the middle of the Lewes Conservation Area yet it is ageing badly. We are working to question the best use for the site in the future and what sort of buildings this may require.
